Description: Painted with zero gravity during Richard’s 12-day spaceflight on the ISS.  Jackson Pollock-esque, Sans Gravity was beautifully created by Richard in a plastic box with floating paint.  Purposefully intended to demonstrate how to paint in and with the unique characteristics of a zero-gravity environment.

About the Artist: Richard Garriott is a founding father of the videogame industry and is also a principal shaper of the commercial spaceflight industry as he cofounded Space Adventures, the first company with private space flights for citizens. A goal he worked towards for 30 years, in 2018 Richard became a second-generation astronaut during his 12-day mission on the ISS – where amongst other science and outreach activities he created 0-gravity artwork.  He is also the first to have explored the Earth from pole to pole, gone to space, and reached the deepest point of the Ocean.  @richardgarriott
