About the Artist: Ron is a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in Applied Design and Visual Arts, who following his studies had an impressive forty-eight year career as a Spacesuit and Space Shuttle Technician - responsible for suiting up the Apollo astronauts for their flights to the Moon.  He is also an accomplished artist, who paints with oil, acrylics, and watercolor, and has focused most of his creative work on the space hardware he worked with so closely.

Description:  As a technician who prepared space suit equipment for testing and flight, Ron had lots of opportunity to photograph his favorite subjects. Visor down captured the training hardware being prepared for astronaut use. Reference photo was taken at the KSC Neil Armstrong facility, previously known as the O & C suit room where I worked during Apollo.
