Description: Inspired by a photo Nicole took during an 18-day mission on the Aquarius undersea habitat ~ a wonderful analog to the extreme environment of spaceflight.  At 60 ft below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Key Largo, FL, the Aquarius habitat is located in a marine preserve. The underside of Aquarius is a beautiful garden of coral and sealife.
About the Artist: Nicole is an astronaut, aquanaut, artist, and cofounder of the Space for Art Foundation. She was the first to paint with watercolors in space, and she continues to creatively combine the awe and wonder of her spaceflight experience with her artwork to inspire everyone’s appreciation of our role as crewmates here on Spaceship Earth.  @astro_nicole
